Merge tags are pieces of text that we use to insert personal information into your icebreaker questions. Each piece of information has a unique merge tag associated with it, such as {{first_name}} for your contact's first name. When you insert a merge tag into your question, it is replaced with the content stored in the corresponding field.

For example, if you include the {{first_name}} merge tag, your contact will see their first name in the question when they view the Flux widget. However, if we do not have any information stored for a merge tag, nothing will be displayed.

You can use merge tags in the initial Icebreaker question, but not in Tally forms or Typeform surveys.
